I have made my cape for summer! As I mentioned previously an unhealthy obsession with the wardrobe of a Miss Carrie Bradshaw has lead to the desire to create a cape.
Also, practically I needed to make myself some sort of summer coat to wear in the warmer weather, when it is not yet warm enough to go out sans outerwear. I used New Look 6073 and am pretty pleased with the result, it was super simple and hangs sweetly. I made the XS and had to make no adjustments, as a loose fit is always easy, right? :) It is fully lined in cotton and the outer is a heavy weight ponte roma jersey.
Also, it has a big cosy hood, for those pesky April/perennial showers...
And just in time for Me Made May! Woohoo!
